The Ruhr Area

Many years ago, the Ruhr region was known for its coal mining winding towers. Today, you can find unique parks and renowned cultural events, many small special features and superlatives: currywurst from a star chef, the most important church treasure in Europe or the world theater of the street. The Ruhr region is inhabited by the "most likeable people in Germany". Here, people approach each other, get into conversation and are still there for each other. Germany's successful football club Borussia Dortmund comes from the Ruhr region, as does Schalke 04. Unna, the location of our hotel, is right next to Dortmund and about half an hour from Gelsenkirchen. Both venues for the European Championship. But even if football is not on the agenda for the day, there are countless things and places to discover and great people to meet.
